Results:
As a result of my marketing communications efforts, lots of major things happened!
(1) The department's US News and World Report ranking jumped up 5 places to # 26 from #31 in one year, and the ranking among public universities moved to #16, up from #18 the previous year
(2) Our Professors received praise from colleagues around the world after getting word of all of their major accomplishments via my postcard mailers
(3) Our events were featured in local media as a result of my networking and press release writing
(4) My email campaigns captured record numbers of event signups while also exceeding national numbers in marketing communications
(5) The department raised $15M in documented cash and gifts in my two years, compared to $25M raised all time (75 years)
(6) I received the first-ever Staff Excellence in Service Award and was promoted after my first year

Reflection:
This position launched my career in design and I learned so much about the print and digital processes and how much graphic design has an impact on larger business goals. Good graphic design is crucial for fundraising, marketing, engagement, and visibility!
